4.4b Your Course: Adding a Forum

You are now ready to add sound and video files to your course shell.

Try creating a forum in your course shell. Use the “single simple discussion” forum type. Follow the instructions below and watch the video. If you need help, refer to section 4.4 Forums.

1. Go to your course shell and turn on edit mode. 

2. Click “Add an activity or resource” and select the Forum activity. 

3. Name your forum and give it a description. Remember, you can use the text editor to add links, videos, audio files, and images to the forum description. 

4. Adjust settings to your preference. Remember you can click on the question mark icon to learn about each setting. 

5.  Press “Save and display” to finish. 

6. Review your forum. Go into the Setting tab if you want to make any changes.

7. Post a reply to your forum.
