You are now ready to add an image to your course shell.

Once you have read module 3.4 Adding Images to a Page, you can go back to the course shell provided to you and add an image to your page content.  If you do not have a page to edit, go to unit 3.2 Adding Content Using the Pages Resource.

  1. First prepare an image you would like to add to your course.  This can be an image in a word document, in a file on your computer or accessed from the internet if you have permission to use it.

  2. Next, log in to your course and click the “Edit mode” toggle.  Choose the page you wish to edit and click on “Settings” from the top menu.

  3. Scroll to the Content block. Add your image by:

    2. Clicking on your image or file, then clicking and choosing “Copy”, return to the content box, click and choose “Paste”. Or,

    3. In the content box choose the “Insert or edit image” icon, then “Browse Repositories”, followed by the “Choose File” button.  Click on the file name of your image and click “Open” at the bottom of your screen, followed by the “Upload this file” button.  Add a description of your image and save it.

  4. If you would like to try a different method of adding an image, click on the image you have added and choose “Delete” to try another one of the three methods.

  5. Try and resize your image by clicking on the image and changing one of the numbers under the “Size” label.

  6. You can always use the “Undo” icon in the content menu, if you would like to go back to a previous version!  When you are happy with your work, make sure to write a sentence below the image describing where you got it from, then click one of the Save buttons at the bottom of the page.
