You are now ready to create a quiz in your course shell.

Try making your own quiz made up of multiple choice, True/False, or any other question type you would like to explore.  Preview the question to see if it turned out how you thought it would. Follow the instructions and watch the video below. Review 4.2 Quizzes if you need help.

  1. Go to your course shell and turn on edit mode. 

  2. Click “Add an activity or resource” and select the Quiz activity. 

  3. Name your quiz and give it a description. Remember, you can use the text editor to add links, videos, audio files, and images to the quiz description. 

  4. Review the settings. There are many settings and we encourage you to explore them. 

  5. Press “Save and Display” when you are finished.

  6. Select “Add question”.

  7. Choose the type of question you would like to use. Remember, If you press on the circle beside the question type, a definition of the question type is displayed. 

  8. Press “Add” to add the question to your quiz. 

  9. Fill out the appropriate fields as discussed in 4.2 Quizzes, depending on if you are making a multiple choice, True/False, or other question type. 

  10. Press “Save changes”.

  11. The new question will appear under the questions tab of the quiz activity. 

  12. Press the magnifying glass icon to preview the question (i.e., see what it will look like for students). 

  13. Try adding another question to your quiz.
