3.5b Your Course: Adding Hyperlinks

You are now ready to add hyperlinks to your course shell.

Go into your course shell and practice adding links to your course. Try adding a link using the URL resource from the Activity Chooser and by adding links to a Page resource. Watch the video and follow the steps below. Review 3.5 Hyperlinks if you need help.

URL Resource

1. Turn on edit mode and select “Choose and Activity or Resource”.

2. Select the URL resource.

3. Add a link name and URL.

4. Click “Save and return to course”.

5. View your link and try it out.

Page Resource

1. Turn on edit mode and select “Choose and Activity or Resource”.

2. Select the Page resource.

3. Add a name for your page. 

4. Add text to the content area.

5. Highlight the text you want linked and press the link icon.

6. Add the webpage URL, select “Open in new window”, and then press “Create link”.

7. Click “Save and return to course”.

8. Click into your new page and view your link. 

9. Test your link.
