Basic Computer and Digital Literacy

Description

Digital literacy is the capacity of an individual to find, interpret and input information on various digital devices. A digital device is any technology-enabled computing device/product i.e. phones, computers, tablets etc. Digital devices are interconnected through the internet, a network via which information can be communicated. This course covers the basic skills required to navigate the internet reliably, consume information, troubleshoot problems with common devices. Comprising three modules, each module focuses on a set of skills on a given domain. Beginning with an introduction to digital literacy, the course dives right into the basics of computer and internet use for educational purposes. The final module presents a discussion on media literacy.
