When drafting, editing, or reviewing a document, consider using the tracking sheet on the following page as a tool to keep the document consistent. Record, for example,

  • the first instance of each defined abbreviation so you don’t define it again, or fail to define it;

  • spellings or phrases that are inclined to vary, to keep them consistent, particularly if they’re not in the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) Style Guide word list (or even if they are).
